Wine Tasting Evening
'Wines of the Languedoc' Wednesday 29th May, 7.30pm-9.30pm

Join us for this informal and friendly tasting of The wines of the Languedoc, hosted by local merchants Ranmore Wines very own South of France specialist – Mike Watkins.

We’ll be taking a guided taste journey through the sunny South of France stopping of at famous appellations such as Corbieres, Faugeres, Orb valley, Pic-Saint-Loup, Picpoul de Pinet and many more....

Tickets are on sale now for £8 per person (which includes wines – at least 8 for this tasting) Groups of 2-12 people welcome.

Early May Bank Holiday Weekend, Friday 3rd May – Monday 6th May

We’re extremely lucky at The Black Swan to have so many amazing local breweries close at hand. To celebrate the wealth of lovely local beers we’re having a ‘mini beer festival’ serving a great selection of real ales from 5 of our favourite Surrey Breweries all bank holiday weekend. Join us for the high point of the weekend on Sunday evening from 7pm-9.30pm for some amazing hog-roast.

Join quiz master Alex every Tuesday in the bar area from 8.30pm. Teams of 2-10 welcome, £1 entrance per person – winning team takes all plus a bottle of vino. Ring to reserve a table.

Summer is almost here & The Black Swan finds its true vocation as one of the best summer pubs in Surrey (officially – as voted for in Surrey Life Magazine!) Whatever the occasion, we specialise in catering for group functions from 20-300 people. We have zero hire charge (you just pay for the food and drinks) for reserving areas of our garden, decking & pub for exclusive use. Ask us about our famous hog-roasts & BBQ’s. The Black Swan are proud to host the DEBRA Surrey Cycle for the second year!
Sunday 12th May 2013

Tackle part of the 2012 Olympic Road Race route, enjoy a great atmosphere, super signage and well stocked rest stops all in aid of the charity DEBRA supporting children and adults affect by Epidermolysis Bullosa.

Starting and finishing at The Black Swan (Open for coffees and soft drink before you set off and well earned celebratory drinks and lunch when you return!), the circular route will take you around the Surrey Hills, famous for the rolling chalk downs, challenging climbs and fun descents. Quiet country roads & three routes make this the perfect ride for all types of cyclists.
